We serve delicious, smoked meats and homemade sides to satisfy your taste buds!
Located at 3243 Gehman Rd, Barto, PA 19504, Blue Haze BBQ operates as a chinese bbq serving Barto in Pennsylvania. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Barto; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in Pennsylvania are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.
The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 amβ8 pm. It is closed on Tuesday, Wednesday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (267) 905-2033. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is bluehazebbq.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Customers rate it 4.8 out of 5 on Google across 79 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded chinese bbq & roast meats in Barto.
Barto is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Barto follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Absolutely worth the 3-hour drive!! The food was AMAZING. Everything was packed with flavor, the portions were great, and the BBQ was on point. The brisket was tender, the sides were delicious, and we left ready for a nap. You know a place is good when youβre already thinking about making the 3-hour drive again. ππ₯ Definitely worth the trip! βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ for Christine!!

From reading the reviews, I was genuinely excited to try this place; I wasn't even that hungry originally but I got excited from how positive the other reviews seemed. Unfortunately, it was a genuinely disappointing experience. I got the 3 meat platter, the most expensive option there at $33, so that I could get a thorough sampling of everything with 3 meats and 3 sides: 1) None of the food was even warm, much less fresh and hot. 2) The brisket was surprisingly dry and, for some reason, shredded like pork. It seemed like the level of dryness for something that was sitting in a warmer for a prolonged period of time. 3) The mac and cheese was like a colder and dryer version of what you would get from a Sheetz. 4) The quantity of food, for $33, was surprising small. It seemed like 1 hot dog sized cut sausage, 3 slices of turkey, and the oddly shredded brisket that could fit entirely within the palm of my hand or perhaps two little Dixie cups. 5) For comparison, the food quality and quantity of comperable items from a Boston Market has been far superior. I worried when everything was ready in two minutes and had seemed like it was all coming out of food truck style warmers.

I was looking for some good smoked food and came across Blue Haze BBQ. I happened to go on a Monday, which they were running a Mexican theme menu. Both the brisket and pulled pork street tacos were excellent! The wings were delicious too; perfectly smoked, crispy, and a great size. The fries and mac and cheese were also solid. Wyatt and the owner, Amanda, were fantastic, and their hospitality is truly top-notch. I will definitely be a frequent visitor.

Ok..easily one of the best bbq spots in the area. Every single item I had was absolutely fantastic. Ribs, only fall of when bitten...10/10 beans, sweet and smoky, fries right out of your favorite 50s diner.. Mac and cheese not too cheesy and perfect flavor. The brisket sandwich...by itself was amazing..add their sweet and a.littlemspicy BBQ sauce...BOOM. pulled pork was so good ....doesn't even need sauce..taste like straight roasted pork, unbelievable. Tom and his crew do bbq RIGHT. ILL ABSOLUTELY BE BACK!!!!!! finally some good barbecue!

Our favorite local BBQ spot! All foods are high quality and excellently prepared. Great sauces and homemade sides. Our favorites are brisket, pulled pork, wings (smoked and deep fried), jalapeΓ±o Cole slaw, etc. A new favorite is Mexican Mondays! Brisket, Pork, and Fish tacos, loaded nachos (we love brisket). Awesome! Very kind, genuine, and friendly people. Chill atmosphere that is very comfortable on a beautiful golf course. Nice, relaxing country drive to get there. Highly recommended!!
